Police in Milwaukie are on the lookout for an armed robbery suspect who targeted a local convenience store.
Officers responded to the 7-Eleven on SE Lake Road just after 1:30 Tuesday morning. An employee says the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded money. He reportedly left without taking anything from the register, but did take a customer's purse.
No one was injured in the robbery, but the suspect is still on the loose.
Sheriff's deputies from Clackamas County searched the area, but did not locate the suspect. A handgun believed to be the one used was recovered nearby.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male 25-30 years of age about 5'9" with a medium build.
He was described to be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black facemask with black jeans.
Anyone with information concerning this crime is encouraged to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office's confidential Tip Line at 503-723-4949.
