Driver arrested after car slams into power pole

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A driver is charged with DUII and reckless driving after police said he drove into a southeast Portland power pole.

It happened around 11:45 p.m. Monday at Southeast 49th and Powell, in front of a Taco Bell.

Police responded to deal with the crash and the driver, while PGE workers were called out to take care of the downed power lines.

The driver was arrested at the scene while traffic was blocked in the area.

In addition to the DUII, Daniel Zoller, 34, is charged with criminal mischief.
