PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A man involved in a photo shoot that caused a scare on the Burnside Bridge pleaded guilty Tuesday to unlawful possession of a firearm.
Calls came into 911 last August after two men were spotted in a car armed with an assault rifle. When officers arrived, they found 13 men with long beards, dressed in military camouflage, walking across the bridge.
Anthony Quayle and another man were holding onto the gun that first aroused suspicions. Once police saw it, the two were arrested. The other 11 men were let go.
But the group claims they were not up to anything malicious. They were on their way to do a photo shoot to raise awareness about breast cancer. Detectives believe the gun was going to be used as a prop.
