
A Eugene man is headed to prison after being convicted for encouraging child sexual abuse.
54-year-old Catalin voda Dulfu was sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday after he was found guilty of 15 counts of first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse and 15 second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse.
Along with the prison sentence, Dulfu was also fined $5,000, which will go to a fund established for a young female victim.
The guilty verdict was issued by the jury after a little more than three hours of deliberation.
