PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police arrested a man who they believe broke into at least seven businesses in North Portland's Kenton neighborhood in December.

Yesterday, detectives served a search warrant at home on North Adriatic Avenue as part of their investigation into the string of commercial burglaries at the end of last year.

They arrested 39-year-old Jason Paul LaCroix.

The investigation began after a series of break-ins at cellular phone stores. They say evidence tied LaCroix to the burglaries.

Officers say they recovered evidence at the home that also links LaCroix to some of the crimes.

The burglaries occurred at the following dates and locations:

  • 12/19/12 at Go Wireless, located at 9932 Northeast Halsey St.
  • 12/19/12 at Air Link, located at 3626 Northeast Sandy Blvd.
  • 12/24/12 at Aarons Rentals, located at 4616 Southeast 82nd Ave.
  • 12/28/12 at Smart Phone Repair, located at 7901 Southeast Powell Blvd.
  • 12/29/12 at Global Communications, located at 14331 Southeast Division St.
  • 12/29/12 at Go Wireless, located at 9932 Northeast Halsey St.
  • 12/31/12 at Aarons Rental, located at 1622 North Lombard St.

LaCroix is in the Multnomah County Jail on seven counts of burglary and will be arraigned today.
