Dalai Lama headed to Oregon

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Dalai Lama is headed to Oregon this May.

The Tibetan Buddhist leader will make appearances in Portland and at the University of Oregon. He will speak at Memorial Coliseum on May 11. The day before that, he'll be in Eugene, speaking to students at Matthew Knight Arena.

The Dalai Lama last visited Oregon back in 2001. He drew 25,000 people to Pioneer Courthouse Square.

Tickets for the event in Portland range from $21.25 to $1,272. For ticket information, go to DalaiLamaPortland2013.net.
