PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
The "Bling Bandit" has been sentenced for three Portland bank robberies.
Feds gave 37-year-old Ivory Watkins his Bling Bandit nickname because of jewelry worn during the robberies he committed.
Watkins pleaded guilty to robbing a U.S. Bank on Northeast 122nd Avenue in April 2012 and again in July 2012. He also attempted a robbery at a Wells Fargo Bank on Southeast 82nd Avenue in June 2012.
A district court judge sentenced Watkins to more than five years in prison following his guilty pleas to two counts of unarmed bank robbery and one count of attempted unarmed bank robbery.
As part of his sentence, he must pay $3,641 in restitution to U.S. Bank.
