MAX surveillance video
GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -
A man involved in a robbery and attack near a Gresham MAX stop is going to prison for 1 1/2 years.
Christopher Briggs was sentenced Monday morning after pleading no contest to assault and attempted robbery charges earlier in the month.
He was arrested after MAX train surveillance was released and viewer tips helped identify him. Police said he was one of three people who attacked the two teenage victims and stole their laptop, iPod and cell phones.
The assault left one of the victims with a concussion and fractured jaw.
A second man involved in the case, Enele Maile, is set to be sentenced March 22.
Briggs was also sentenced to three years post-prison supervision.
