JOSEPHINE COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Officers seized 161 pounds of marijuana and 23 guns during a raid of a southern Oregon home.

Detectives from the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team and the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement team executed a search warrant in the town of Williams on Feb. 1 in connection to a money laundering and marijuana distribution investigation.

Detectives found 161 pounds of marijuana, small amounts of heroin, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, 23 guns, scales and packaging materials.

The man living in the house, Michael Canepa, 53, was not home at the time of the search.

On Feb. 11, investigators tracked him to a Grants Pass-area motel. A search warrant for his motel room was served and detectives found a small amount of heroin and other evidence.

Canepa was arrested and taken to the Josephine County Jail.
