PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A woman badly hurt in a crash in Old Town Portland filed a $3 million lawsuit against the man accused of hitting her and killing her friend.
Brandi Butner was celebrating her 21st birthday on Jan. 20 when the crash happened.
Prosecutors say Brent Warstler was drunk when he hit Butner and killed Rebecca Bray.
A hearing on the $3 million lawsuit against Warstler is set for July 9.
Warstler is now out on bail.
He must wear an ankle bracelet that monitors alcohol use, he cannot drive without court permission and he must attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
His trial is scheduled to begin on March 14.
