GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -
A grade school in Gresham is taking a creative stance against bullying. Nearly every student at North Gresham Elementary School stood together during an event yesterday to spell out a message.
All dressed in pink T-shirts, the students arranged themselves to spell out the words "stand up." The event was part of a school-wide effort to encourage students to accept others and put an end to bullying.
Students have been learning different ways of coping with bullies, like deflecting insults with kindness. The school will continue their anti-bullying curriculum throughout the week of Feb. 27 to March 6.
