SALEM, OR (KPTV) -
If an Oregon Senator gets her way, lollygagging in the left lane could become illegal.
State Sen. Ginny Burdick has proposed a bill that would make it illegal to drive in the left lane of Interstate highways unless passing another vehicle.
This bill would amend the current law to include all vehicles and not just campers, trailers and trucks.
She has been commuting from Portland to Salem for 16 years and says she is familiar with the dangers of people driving too slowly.
The bill will be out of committee next week and up for a full vote after that.
