BERLIN, N.J., Feb. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts, Inc. announced today that it is expanding its presence in Florida with the scheduled July 2013 opening of a new store in Port St. Lucie.  This new location will provide the Treasure Coast with a destination arts and crafts retailer while adding more than 40 full and part-time jobs to the region.

The new store, located at The Town Center at St Lucie West, 1725 St Lucie West Boulevard, will be A.C. Moore's seventh store in the state.  Applications for employment will be accepted starting in mid May and job seekers can submit an online application at www.acmoore.com, or apply in person.  Grand opening event details and related promotions will be formally announced as the calendar gets closer to the July grand opening date.

The new Port St. Lucie A.C. Moore will feature a custom framing shop, a classroom setting for instruction, demonstrations and "Make & Takes," as well as an arts and crafts merchandise assortment of more than 40,000 specialty items, spanning more than 21,000 square feet.  In addition to traditional craft products, A.C. Moore is also well-known for its vast selection of scrapbooking, jewelry, floral, yarn, art supplies, and children's craft kits, along with cake decorating kits and ready-made frames.  The Port St. Lucie store will also offer customers membership in the Company's successful customer loyalty program – A.C.
