Police seek suspect in hit-and-run investigation

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The police search continues Thursday for a hit-and-run driver who sent a woman to the hospital.

The crash happened early Saturday morning at SE 68th and Division. The crash sent Sulema Hernandez-Rivas to the hospital with serious injuries.

Don Porter turned himself in to police on Sunday, following the crash. Porter's SUV had damage to the front end. But after further investigation, officers discovered the side mirror left at the scene didn't match Porter's SUV, they said.

Police are now investigating the possibility that more than one car was involved in the crash.

They're looking for a dark-colored Ford Escape, model years 2005-2007. The SUV should be missing a driver's side mirror, officers said. It should also have minor damage along the driver's side front and side.

If you've seen the SUV, or have information about this crash, you're asked to call Portland police at (503) 823-2216.
