PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A Tigard man was arrested after a crash in the Raleigh Hills neighborhood near Southwest Portland.

Washington County Sheriff's Deputies were called to a reported hit-and-run crash at Southwest Scholls Ferry Road north of the Beaverton Hillsdale Highway.

Deputies got reports of a car driving recklessly before crashing into another car. The driver then threatened the people in the other car with a baseball bat before fleeing the scene.

When Sheriff deputies arrived they found a Chevrolet Impala with damage to the right rear side and taillight, as well as a 4-inch dent on the left rear door from what appeared to be a blunt object.

Witnesses told deputies that Ryan Thomas was driving on Schools Ferry when he tried to pass the Impala using the "left turn only" lane.

When the Impala tried to pass Thomas to turn left, witnesses say he rammed the car and then got out of his car yelling and swinging a baseball bat.

Witnesses were able to provide deputies with a description and license plate number that helped them track him down.

Thomas is charged with unlawful use of a weapon, reckless endangering, menacing, disorderly conduct, hit and run, reckless driving and criminal mischief.
