WASHOUGAL, WA (KPTV) -
Fish and wildlife crews successfully removed an arrow from a deer that had been shot in the face near Washougal on Tuesday.
Officer David Hughes with Fish and Wildlife said two officers went to the property of a rural Washougal home Tuesday afternoon and found the deer.
They removed the arrow, and since then, the officers have returned to the property to check on it. They found that all four deer that frequent the property appear to be doing fine now, according to the landowner.
Hunting deer during closed season is a gross misdemeanor in Washington state. Anyone who has information on who shot the deer is asked to call Fish and Wildlife at 360-696-6211. Tips can remain anonymous.
