MILWAUKIE, OR (KPTV) -
A wanted man is accused of leading a Clackamas County deputy on a brief chase before crashing through a fence and into the side of an apartment complex.
A deputy assigned to the U.S. Marshals Task Force attempted to initiate a traffic stop at Fuller Road and Causey Avenue in Milwaukie around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday involving Kyle Schumann, 31, who was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Investigators said Schumann kept driving, before crashing through a chain-link fence about a block away near La Salle Catholic College Preparatory.
The car slammed into an apartment complex, causing some structural damage, but nobody was hurt.
Schumann ran away, according to deputies, and was caught a short time later.
