200 computers to be donated to Portland schools

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Two nonprofits have teamed up to donate 200 computers to local schools.

Free Geek and Portland YouthBuilders have been given 200 computers by the city of Portland. They will work together to refurbish and distribute the desktop computers to various Portland schools.

Students enrolled in YouthBuilders' Youth Media Program will carry out the refurbishment, bringing the Dell Optiplex 960s up to date.
