PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A local portrait photographer wants to take photos of your pets for a new book that will benefit DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital.

Charles G. Waugh is creating the coffee-table book called Pets of Portland and the plan is to feature 150 local pets.

All of the pets will be photographed on a white background at Waugh's studio in the Milwaukie-Clackamas area. Props, pet clothes, special chairs or any other items to highlight the personality of your pet are encouraged.

To get your pet in the book, a donation of $100 to DoveLewis is required. An additional $25 covers the cost for a copy of the book.

The deadline for photography sessions is Aug. 9.

The book is slated to be in stock at DoveLewis by their annual gala, the "DoveAdore" on Oct. 18. DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital is a nonprofit organization dedicated to emergency and critical animal care.

The hospital is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

Waugh previously completed the Kids of Portland coffee-table book for Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
