PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
It's that time of year when you'll start seeing walls covered in green shamrocks across the Portland metro area.
The Old Spaghetti Factory is getting in on the fun as part of a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Families turned up to support local children with the disease Thursday night. Customers who bought a green shamrock not only got to help pay for kids to go to camp, but they also received an incentive to come back - free cheesy bread.
The restaurant's manager said they participate in the Shamrocks fundraiser every year.
"It's a great win-win," said Gary Shepherd, Old Spaghetti Factory's general manager. "Everybody gets excited about it because it's easy to get behind something that supports local kids."
The Old Spaghetti Factory isn't the only business participating in Shamrocks Against Dystrophy.
