GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

Police have identified the man killed as part of an ongoing homicide investigation in Gresham.

Shane Brumbaugh, 23, of Gresham, was shot and killed Sunday evening on Northeast Paropa Court and Hale Court.

Officers were called to the scene around 6:45 p.m. to a report of shots fired. A neighbor was performing CPR on the victim as police arrived.

They said the victim was outside when he was shot but was able to make it back inside his home where he died.

Witnesses in the area reported seeing a car pull into the complex with an unknown number of people and then someone fired three shots.

Police said the gunman left the area in a car after the shooting. There is no description available of the suspect vehicle in this case.

Investigators said this was an isolated incident and neighbors in the area are not in danger.

An autopsy performed Monday confirmed Brumbaugh died of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police said the investigation remains very active and if you know anything about it, call 503-823-3333 or 503-618-2719.
