PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A bank robbery at a U.S. Bank branch in downtown Portland led police to detain a man who was on a TriMet bus Monday, but they later released him and are now looking for the robber.
Officers were called to the bank at 410 SW Harrison St. at 11:51 a.m.
While en route, they learned the robber escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
A man matching the suspect's description was then found on a TriMet bus at Sixth Avenue and Burnside Street, and police detained him. Within a few hours, they released him, saying he was no longer considered a suspect.
No injuries were reported during the robbery and police are still investigating.
