Carjackers rob man, woman in Fred Meyer parking lot

Portland police are on the lookout for two men who carjacked a man and woman in the parking lot of the Gateway Fred Meyer.

The robbery took place at around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday at the store on Northeast 102nd Avenue in Portland. 

The victims told police that they had just parked their car on the side of the building facing toward NE 99th Avenue when two men armed with handguns approached them.

One of the men approached the driver and demanded his possessions, including the car keys, phone and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The second suspect pulled the female passenger from the car before the two men sped off with the stolen car. They were last seen driving southbound on NE 99th Avenue. Neither victim was injured during the robbery.

One suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s, 5'8" tall, 235 pounds, with short black hair and some facial hair, wearing dark clothes.

The other suspect is described as a light-skinned black man in his late 20s, 5'08", 140-150 pounds, wearing dark clothes.

The vehicle is a black 2012 Honda Civic 2-Door, with Oregon license plate CU12716.

Anyone seeing the vehicle is advised not to approach it and to immediately call 911.
