Bomb threat at adult club turns out to be a hoax

Posted: Updated:

A local adult bar was evacuated after someone called to report a bomb was inside the business.

Portland police said someone called Doc's Club on 82nd, an adult entertainment club, around 9 p.m.

Officers checked the business and located a bag that was out of place and no one could claim. At that time officers shut down Southeast 82nd between Holgate and Boise and called out the Metropolitan Explosive Disposal Unit.

Members of the bomb squad checked out the bag and determined it contained personal property and was not an explosive device.

Southeast 82nd reopened just before 11 p.m., and the club was reopened for business.

Police don't have any suspect information on the person who made the call. Anyone with any information about this case should contact the Portland Police Bureau.
