Michael "Chadd" Boysen, accused of killing his grandparents in the Seattle area and later keeping police at bay for hours during an Oregon Coast motel standoff, is out of the hospital and now in the Multnomah County Jail.
Boysen holed up at the West Shore Motel last Tuesday in Lincoln City, where he checked in under his real name the night before.
After a day-long standoff, police raided the motel room and found Boysen suffering from self-inflicted cuts.
He was taken to a hospital to be treated, and has since been released and booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
He has waived extradition back to King County, so there will be no court appearances in Oregon. He's now awaiting transport back to Washington state.
Boysen will face charges in the killing of his grandparents - an 82-year-old man and 80-year-old woman - at their home in Renton, WA.
Police said Boysen was released from prison March 8 and his grandparents threw him a party to welcome him home. They were found dead the following day.
Boysen had most recently been in prison for a robbery conviction, but investigators said he has a lengthy rap sheet including six felony convictions going back to when he was a teenager.
