The attorneys for Logan Storm, a former Beaverton teacher arrested in Mexico after being convicted of child porn charges, say they don't know where he is.
His attorneys filed a motion Friday to reset his sentencing date to June 17. It is currently scheduled for April 8.
"Government counsel has indicated that they do not know the source of news reports of Mr. Storm's arrest," the motion states. "They cannot confirm his status."
Storm was convicted of possessing child porn Jan. 29. He was released from custody pending his sentencing and disappeared that same day after removing his ankle monitoring device and dumping it at a Troutdale park.
Local law enforcement officials confirmed last week that Storm was arrested in Mexico. The U.S. Marshal's Office has not released any additional details.
Storm's attorneys said they have been unable to communicate with him. They have asked the court to schedule a telephone conference with Storm so they can determine what steps can be taken to locate him and figure out a timeframe for his return to the U.S.
News of his arrest came on the heels of re-filed sex abuse charges in the Portland area. Storm is accused of abusing two underage girls at a public swimming pool at the Mt. Scott Community Center in 2007.
