A C-TRAN employee is in the hospital with serious injuries after a fellow bus driver hit her with a bus. It was all caught on camera.
The video shows driver Julia Johnson just starting her shift at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday at the C-TRAN bus yard on Northeast 65th Avenue in Vancouver. She was walking to her bus in the designated pedestrian walkway. Then, fellow driver Donna Ferran pulls out and hits Johnson as she makes a wide turn.
"It's very hard. I mean any time something like this happens. You mentioned people are very close ... it is very tragic, but it's also an important safety reminder for our employees and for all of us," said Scott Patterson of C-TRAN.
Officials say Ferran has been with C-TRAN for almost 30 years. She's on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.
