CORNELIUS, OR (KPTV) -

An armed man made off with a wad of cash after holding up the Baseline Market and Deli Tuesday night.

At about 9:30 p.m. at 1206 Baseline St. in Cornelius, a man wearing a ski mask and trench coat walked into the deli and demanded money. The store clerk opened the cash register as the suspect brandished a handgun. He grabbed the cash and took off running.

Once police were on scene, they used a K-9 to track down the suspect but were unable to get a lead. Investigators believe the suspect may have used a car to make his getaway.

The suspect is described as a white male about 6' tall and skinny. Anyone with information is urged to call Cornelius police at 503-359-1881.
