Authorities say they've arrested three people following the robbery of a Mid-Michigan gun shop that left its owner with severe head injuries.

The robbery happened Monday afternoon at Guns and Stuff in Gladwin County's Sage Township, 60 miles northwest of Saginaw.

The Gladwin County sheriff's department said in a statement that two arrests were made Wednesday followed by a third arrest that night. The sheriff's department says authorities found evidence related to the robbery, as well as several stolen handguns.

The Gladwin County Sheriff says the names of the three will be released later Thursday or Friday as formal charges are pending in the case. The sheriff's department is working with federal authorities.

All three people are being held at the Gladwin County Jail.

Gun business owner Richard Robinette was hospitalized in Flint following the robbery. He initially was listed in critical condition and was later in serious condition.

On Wednesday, a woman told TV5 that Charles Rowan, whom police have sought in connection to the robbery and beating of the gun store owner, was arrested at her apartment in Unionville, Mich. early Wednesday morning.

The woman said Rowan was "a friend of a friend" and that he and Rosalinda Martinez showed up together at her place Tuesday night. When the apartment owner was letting her dog out Wednesday morning around 8 a.m., police swarmed her. She said authorities asked if Rowan and Martinez were inside and she said "yes." They then pushed her into the apartment and took the two into custody.

The witness to the raid said Rowan had flipped his cell phone on for just 12 minutes, and police were able to track it using GPS in that window of time. It's not clear exactly how Martinez is connected to the robbery.

Authorities also told TV5 Rowan is an absconder from probation and his criminal record shows he failed to register as a sex offender as well as attempting to deliver a controlled substance, marijuana in this case.

He has also been rumoured to have faked his own death. Rowan was apparently a cage fighter, who had a bout scheduled in Traverse City a few months ago. Word spread that Rowan was killed in an automobile crash and fellow fighters organized an event on March 9 on Rowan's behalf to help pay for expenses. The event was dubbed the "Fight for Charlie."
