SOUTHGATE, MI (WJBK/FOX) - An eighth-grade student died Thursday
morning after he shot himself in a school bathroom, according to police.
The middle school was placed on lockdown after the
incident.
Officers said the 13-year-old shot himself with a .40-caliber
handgun.
Parents rushed to the school after a medical emergency
alert was issued.
