BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

A suspect who had originally agreed to turn himself on Friday changed his mind, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. But by Saturday, he had changed his mind again, and was booked into jail.

A Beaverton Police spokesman says Jeffrey Lane, age 33, broke into Jesuit High School last year. According to investigators he stole a cash box with tithing in it from the school.

Police also said he was responsible for at least six more attempted break-ins that took place at Biggi Plaza in December. He did not actually gain entry into any of the businesses.

Lane, who is considered a potential career criminal, will likely face a Washington County judge on Monday.
