Police seek witnesses after reckless driving arrest on Hwy 26

GOVERNMENT CAMP, OR (KPTV) -

Oregon State Police troopers are looking for witnesses related to a reckless driving arrest Wednesday morning near Government Camp.

Troopers received reports shortly after 11 a.m. of a white car heading west on Highway 26 failing to stay in its lane, traveling on the wrong side of the highway and nearly colliding with other cars. Some drivers reported being run off the road.

A trooper stopped the car just after 11:30 a.m. about seven miles west of Government Camp. Several witnesses also stopped at the scene.

Douglas Watson Jr., 27, of Redmond, was arrested on the charge of reckless driving.

Troopers are asking for any witnesses to Watson's driving who did not stop at the scene of the arrest to call 541-980-1019.
