Police identify stolen motorcycle driver who crashed, ran away

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Police are on the lookout for a suspect who stole a motorcycle, crashed it and then ran off despite being injured.

Investigators say a man was riding a stolen motorcycle recklessly Wednesday afternoon when he rear-ended an SUV on I-205 southbound near Johnson Creek Boulevard.

The motorcycle was reported stolen out of The Dalles.

They say he flew off the bike, smashed through the SUV's rear window and then took off on foot while suffering from several injuries.

Witnesses said he was bleeding badly after the crash.

Police have identified the suspect as Andrew Pulver, 29. He is a white man, 5'7" tall and 145 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

He has ties in Clackamas, Multnomah and Wasco counties.

Investigators released a photo of Pulver taken last month at the Northern Oregon Regional Correctional Facility.
