KEIZER, OR (KPTV) -

A Portland woman ended up behind bars accused of trying to set her boyfriend's home on fire.

It started just after 8 Sunday night at a home on Erika Avenue and St. Charles Northeast in Keizer.

That's when her boyfriend flagged down a Keizer police officer to report that he had been assaulted by his girlfriend, Latoyia King.

Officers said the victim had visible injuries from the assault, including a black eye and a bite mark on his chest.

Police said King also poured gasoline all around the inside of the victim's home, and that she threatened to set it on fire.

Officers from the Salem and Keizer police departments surrounded the house and tried to make contact with King.

They said it took two hours of negotiations to convince King to give herself up.

King is facing a number of charges, including attempted arson, assault and possession of methamphetamines.
