A contractor for the Oregon Department of Transportation is repairing pavement in several locations along Interstate 205 between Interstate 84 and the Borland Road Bridge. This work requires interchange and lane closures beginning tonight and continuing through Friday, April 5. The closures will take place nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The schedule for the closures is as follows:
The I-84 westbound to I-205 southbound ramp will close.
Detour: Take the I-205 northbound off-ramp to the Northeast Sandy Boulevard off-ramp (exit 23A); merge into the left eastbound lane on Northeast Sandy Boulevard; turn left on U.S. 30 (Northeast Killingsworth Avenue); turn left onto the on-ramp to I-205 south.
The I-84 eastbound to I-205 southbound ramp will close
Detour: Take the I-205 southbound off-ramp (exit 6) and head toward Northeast Glisan Street; cross Northeast Glisan Street to the on-ramp to I-205 south.
The I-205 southbound Southeast Division Street on-ramp will close
Detour: Continue along the I-205 frontage road to U.S. 26 (Southeast Powell Boulevard); turn right onto westbound Southeast Powell Boulevard; turn left onto southbound Southeast 92nd Avenue; turn left onto eastbound Southeast Foster Road to the I-205 southbound on-ramp.
The contractor will close one lane of I-205 southbound to work at three locations between the Abernethy Bridge and Borland Road.
This schedule depends on both weather conditions and work progress and may change accordingly.
Only one ramp will close at a time. During ramp closures, travelers will follow a signed detour. ODOT advises travelers to watch for crews working in the roadway and to slow down in the work zone.
