KELSO, WA (KPTV) -

Kelso police are searching for a man who asked a woman if she was a prostitute and proceeded to attack her.

Investigators said it happened at 10:30 p.m. Saturday at 16th and Crawford Street.

The woman told police a truck with three men inside stopped right by her. One man got out and asked the 21-year-old woman if she was a "hooker," according to police.

The woman said no, but she told police the man then grabbed her shirt collar and tore it.

The woman fought back, punching the man in the nose. He then punched her, leaving a mark by her right eye, according to officers.

The victim said her attacker smelled of alcohol and the other men laughed during the attack.

Police were unable to locate the truck. The only description is that it was dark in color.
