Portland police seek razor attack suspect

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police said someone cut a man's face with a razor blade in southeast Portland early Tuesday morning, and then ran off.

It happened near the corner of Southeast 12th Avenue and Southeast Morrison Street.

Police said the victim told them his attacker used a derogatory term during the attack. Despite the claim, authorities said they are investigating the incident as an assault, rather than a "bias crime."

The victim was taken by an officer to a nearby hospital, but police said his wound appeared to be superficial.
