PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The man who killed a father of three will spend more than 20 years behind bars.

Anthony Benjamin was sentenced Friday after being found guilty of manslaughter in January. He was also convicted of ID theft and tampering with a witness.

He's going to jail for stabbing Robert Williams to death with a knife on New Year's Eve in 2010. Williams was found bleeding on the ground at Northwest Sixth Avenue and Davis Street. He died two weeks later.

Williams' daughter, Hayley, had some strong words for Benjamin shortly after the proceeding, saying "through this whole trial they've been saying he has rights, but I also have the right to have a father in my life, but he took that right away from me."

Benjamin was sentenced to 22 years and 8 months behind bars. Two others implicated in the stabbing were tried and sentenced last year. They both plead guilty to third degree assault and were given three years of probation and mandatory drug counseling.
