A man wearing a mask from the movie Scream and armed with a gun robbed a restaurant in Longview.
It happened just before 6 a.m. March 31. Longview police released surveillance images of the robbery Friday.
Investigators said the man entered the Muchas Gracias Restaurant, 1006 Washington Way, armed with a black semi-automatic handgun that he kept in his right hand.
He was wearing a Scream mask, originally featured in the 1996 movie, a dark colored Nike sweatshirt and green latex gloves. It also appeared the man was wearing glasses, according to witnesses.
He is described as being in his 30s or early 40s, 6'1" tall with a medium to light build and a mustache or goatee.
Police believe the suspect then robbed a coffee shop in Vancouver two hours after the Longview robbery. Torque Coffee, 507 Columbia St., was robbed by a man with the same description at 8 a.m. March 31.
Additional surveillance images from Muchas Gracias were released Friday showing a man and truck just prior to the robbery. It is not known how or if they are involved. The truck is a light-colored quad cab with no tail gate. It appeared to be a late 80s or early 90s model.
No customers were in the restaurant at the time of the robbery.
If you know anything that can help with this investigation, call Longview police.
