Local tennis camp for children in wheelchairs

TUALATIN, OR (KPTV) -

The Northwest Wheelchair Tennis Association is hosting its second annual camp featuring paralympian David Wagner.

The Wheelchair Tennis Camp for Kids is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 27 at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center in Beaverton.

David Wagner won gold and silver medals at the 2012 Paralympics. He will be joined by John Devorss, coach of the U.S. National Juniors Tennis Team and a coach to many wheelchair players, and Debbie Borchers, a wheelchair tennis coach for more than 25 years.

Participation is free thanks to camp sponsors and partners. Any child with mobility impairment is encouraged to attend.

The Northwest Wheelchair Tennis Association is a nonprofit organization.
