Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a shooting death in Boring.
A spokesman says it's believed that a 19-year-old died as a result of a hunting accident.
At about 7:45 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a large, wooded, rural property on Southeast Bartell Road, south of Highway 212.
Initial reports were that the victim was about 100 feet down a steep ravine. A rope rescue was initiated quickly, and a Life Flight helicopter was dispatched to the scene.
Unfortunately, the patient died before he could be transported.
A sheriff's office spokesman says all parties involved were accounted for, and are being cooperative with the investigation.
The name of the deceased has not been released.
