Hillsboro police questioned a 14-year-old boy following a house fire Friday night.
The fire started at the home on 63rd Avenue near Hacienda at around 10:25 p.m.
Firefighters said they were able to get the blaze out quickly, and that they contained the flames to a bedroom.
An adult couple, a man and a woman, were able to escape the home, firefighters said.
Crews took both of them to St. Vincent Medical Center, they are expected to recover.
Investigators said the damage estimate is $10,000.
They also determined that the cause of the blaze was suspicious and police detained the 14-year-old boy for further investigation.
Investigators did not say how the teen knew the adults in the house, but did said that boy was "'associated with the residence.'"
Investigators did not plan to release any further updates until Monday.
