A girl from West Salem is back in Oregon after living out her dream to meet the cast of the hit Fox television show Glee.
Make-a-Wish Oregon flew Ragen Wolfe, 12, and her family down to Los Angeles this week to watch a taping of an upcoming episode. Ragen suffers from a condition called ataxia, which affects her motor function, her mother said.
When FOX 12 first met Ragen several days ago, she was catching up on some of her favorite episodes inside her family's apartment. She became an instant fan of the show when Glee came on the air four seasons ago.
On Sunday, she flew down to Los Angeles to begin her trip.
She spent the day at Universal Studios on Monday.
On Tuesday, she got to tour the set of Glee, sit in on a taping of the show and meet some of her favorite cast members.
Her face lit up when the actors who play Blaine and Jake snuggled up for a few photos, her mother said.
"It was giddy schoolgirl all over again," said Christi Wolfe, Ragen's mother. "Every time another one walked in, she was shrugging her shoulders and grinning from ear to ear."
"Yeah," said Ragen when asked if she thought the experience was cool.
One of her favorite souvenirs was a Glee yearbook that she brought down to California in hopes of getting a few autographs. The entire back two pages are now filled with messages from television characters who've now become friends in real life.
"To have all these people that she knows right in front of her that she watches multiple times per week was something I could never give her without Make-a-Wish," said Christi Wolfe.
Now that she's back home, Ragen can't help but smile about an opportunity that most of us will never get to experience.
"I'm happy," she said. "I had a great trip."
It was a wish come true. And now Ragen has memories that will last her a lifetime.
"Absolute dream come true," Christi Wolfe said.
"Best trip ever," Ragen Wolfe said.
