Armored truck, heavily armed agents in SE Portland FBI raid

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

An FBI raid got the attention of a southeast Portland neighborhood Friday.

Heavily armed agents guarded a driveway near Southeast Harold and 116th, while officers searched a garage in the back of a fenced lot.

A K-9 was also called out to search the property.

An FBI spokeswoman said they were serving a sealed federal search warrant with metro gang enforcement officers, but no additional information was released about the warrant or potential suspects.

Neighbors reported hearing sounds they believed to be flash bangs as the officers yelled for people to come out, but no one did.

Neighbors said they see "gang tagging" and drug activity in the area, but they never suspected anything illegal happening in the lot that had the FBI's focus on Friday.

"It was very shocking to come home from work to this," said Brenda Burns, who lives next door.

The FBI confirmed a second house was raided in Troutdale as part of the same investigation Friday.
