CLACKAMAS, OR (KPTV) -

A man found himself in a precarious position after losing his footing while trimming a tree. The Clackamas Fire Department was called out to an area off Southeast Highway 224 on Sunday afternoon to find a man dangling 25-30 feet off the ground.

Firefighters say the 55-year-old man was trimming some branches when he fell, becoming tangled in his rope. With the rope wrapped around his legs, he was unable to free himself.

Crews used ropes and ladders to free the man and lower him to safety. He was then transported to OHSU for evaluation and treatment.
