Police have identified the person killed by a suspected DUII driver in southeast Portland.

LaShai Williams, 20, was arrested early Sunday morning after a crash near Southeast 122nd and Stark.

Investigators said she was heading west on Stark at 12:44 a.m. when she ran a red light and slammed into another car making a left turn, at a green light, onto 122nd Avenue.

Billie Dee Andrea Pugh, 28, was a passenger in the car and died at the scene. The driver, Brandon Pugh, 28, suffered traumatic, but not life-threatening injuries, according to police.

He has since been released from the hospital.

Flowers and balloons were left at the site of the crash Sunday.

Williams was booked into the Multnomah County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon. She is charged with manslaughter, reckless driving and DUII.
