Police officer denies food stamp fraud accusations

BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

A Beaverton Police officer accused of lying to get food stamps pleaded not guilty today.

Officer Christopher Warren turned himself in earlier this month and was later released. He's charged with crimes including first degree theft and unlawfully obtaining public assistance.

Warren is due back in court for a pre-trial hearing in late May.
