Police: Woman killed in SE Portland, community not at risk

Posted: Updated:

Police believe a woman found dead in a southeast Portland home Tuesday night was killed.

An autopsy Wednesday morning revealed Dixiang Huang, 33, died of homicidal violence.

Portland police officers responded to the 3000 block of Southeast 92nd Avenue after getting a report of a person dead in the home around 10:30 p.m.

"I was sitting on the couch watching TV, like I said. I seen lights shining through the window. So I got up and looked, and I see about 5-6 cop cars here," neighbor Jacob Ecrement said.

"If there's somebody out there that did this, I'm kind of scared for my kids," said neighbor Jessica Rhodes.

No arrests have been made in the case yet, a Portland police spokesman told FOX 12. However, police said based on preliminary information, detectives do not believe there is any risk to the community in connection with this case.

Neighbors told FOX 12 that Huang and her husband moved into the duplex about a year ago. Neighbors described Huang as sweet and a loving mother of two children.

If you know anything about the case, you're asked to call Detective Mark Sponhauer, 503-823-0416.
