UMATILLA COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

A multiple vehicle crash on Highway 204 left one person hurt and at least 10 cows dead Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at around 9 a.m. near milepost 18 in Umatilla County.

Oregon State Police said a semi-truck slid out and became stuck in the eastbound travel lane.

Troopers said a pickup driver stopped in the westbound lane because of the semi-truck and was then hit by another semi-truck.

A fourth vehicle, a minivan driven by Diane Weatherspoon, 70, saw what happened and was able to stop, but was then hit by a fifth vehicle, troopers said.

That fifth vehicle was a semi-truck driven by Grant Raymond, 47.

Troopers said Raymond was transporting cattle and that his truck turned over on its side killing at least 10 cows.

Paramedics took Weatherspoon to a hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers said their investigation was ongoing.

They had not charged anyone with a crime as of Wednesday morning.
