BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

A large rock on MAX tracks in Beaverton led to a train being damaged ahead of the morning commute Thursday.

And now TriMet wants to know who is responsible for tossing the rocks on the tracks in the first place.

TriMet officers said a train went over the large rock near the Millikan Way MAX station around 5 a.m.

A hydraulic line on one of the train cars was damaged, and the Blue Line train had to be removed from service. Two other trains were delayed before full service resumed.

TriMet says an investigation is underway to determine how the rock ended up on the tracks. Officials note it happened near the Murray Boulevard overpass.

At least one other train had already passed through the area Thursday morning without any problems.
